With Locations Already Housed in 10 States, Closet & Storage Concepts is Looking to Grow in Untapped Metropolitan Areas

As the housing market rebounds, Closet & Storage Concepts is targeting new cities in its nationwide sprawl.

For more than 30 years, Closet & Storage Concepts has been creating custom closet designs and manufacturing and installing custom closet solutions for closet storage, mudroom, pantry, laundry room, garage, home offices and more. And during those same three decades, the brand has also prided themselves on their ability to truly listen to the client, which has put them in a unique position to customize the perfect solutions tailored to meet their specific needs.

That keen attention to detail has gone a long way. Today, Closet & Storage Concepts has branched out from its headquarters in West Berlin, New Jersey, and through franchising, they’ve brought their renowned services to more than 10 states throughout the country.

Now, as the housing market rebounds, Closet & Storage Concepts has noticed an uptick in the need for remodeling services. To meet that demand, the brand has its sights set on the future—with a laser focus on smart growth, Closet & Storage Concepts is looking to take its model to more cities than ever before.

“During the recession, we had to put our company’s expansion on the backburner. But during that time, we had the opportunity to make great improvements to our business model and enhance unit profitability. This has helped us emerge stronger and poised for greater growth than ever before,” said Tom Harris, the director of franchise development for Closet & Storage Concepts. “Our goal now is to find the right franchisees to help lead the charge in these untapped markets.”

Currently, Closet & Storage Concepts has locations in Baltimore; Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; Denver; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Las Vegas; Philadelphia; Scottsdale, Arizona; Staten Island, New York; and Westchester County, New York. With a history of excelling in major metropolitan areas, Harris plans to execute that same strategy as they expand. In particular, the brand is targeting areas like Salt Lake City, Chicago, San Diego, Richmond and Indianapolis—towns with a population of one million or more.

In addition to the growing demand for Closet & Storage Concept’s high-end products and services, Harris believes the brand’s emphasis on each and every one of their local franchisees has helped their concept thrive, too. Not only do prospective business owners have access to a low franchise fee, preferred vendor rates and excellent cash flow, but Closet & Storage Concepts genuinely cares about each of their franchisees and their success. And that, Harris believes, will help to carry the brand far as they look to grow across the country.

“We work hard to help our franchisees succeed, and that’s been one of the keys to the company’s overall growth,” Harris said. “Our on-going support and training helps our franchisees to continually grow their business. Through business development coaching and counseling and ongoing training, we give our franchisees everything they need to exceed expectations—no matter what market they’re in.”
