As American-style BBQ has grown from summer picnic mainstay to culinary plat du jour, the demand for pitmasters&rsquo; expertise has never been higher. No stranger to television, Mangum won Food Network&rsquo;s &ldquo;Chopped&rdquo; in 2012 and currently appears as a judge on &ldquo;Beat Bobby Flay&rdquo;. Now, Mangum will judge Food Network Canada&rsquo;s newest cooking competition, &ldquo;<a href="https://www.foodnetwork.ca/shows/fire-masters/photos/season-one-competitors/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=co-founder-and-pitmaster-of-mighty-quinns-bbq-hugh-mangum-returns-to-food-network-as-judge-of-new-canadian-show-firemasters-2709618" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">FireMasters</a>,&rdquo; which premiered on Food Network Canada on March 27.

Food Network Canada would be hard-pressed to find one more knowledgeable or passionate about BBQ than Mangum. After growing up in Texas under the tutelage of his BBQ-enthusiast father, Mangum headed to culinary school where he worked in the kitchen of acclaimed chefs like Jean George Vongritchen. In 2011, Mangum and his partners Micha Magid and Christos Gourmos came together to create <a href="https://1851franchise.com/mightyquinnsbbq" target="_blank">Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s BBQ</a>. Mangum combined the BBQ traditions of Texas and the Carolinas to create an exciting &ldquo;New York Style&rdquo; that became the hallmark of the first Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s location in Manhattan.

Since then, Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s has grown impressively, with nine corporate-owned locations, a restaurant at Yankee Stadium and three international franchised units in Taiwan, the Philippines, and Dubai. The brand has plans for 20 additional units in development by 2020. Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s stands out from competitors by offering the first authentic barbeque experience in a fast-casual setting. Mangum combines all-natural meat and poultry with flavorful seasonings, sumptuous house-made sauces and the inimitable richness of a wood-fire smoker. His approach to BBQ has made Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s both a culinary powerhouse and a brand that is uniquely positioned for growth.

With Mangum&rsquo;s televised introduction to the Canadian market and an established model already making international waves, Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s has the momentum needed to grow in those markets the brand is targeting for development. In the U.S., Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s has its sights on &nbsp;Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.
