Since its founding in 1972, Cousins Subs® has grown from a single restaurant run by Bill Specht and his cousin in Milwaukee to 100 restaurants throughout Wisconsin and two in Illinois’ Chicagoland area with 38 additional restaurants slated to open over the next several years.

Additionally, its fried cheese curds, mac and cheese and milkshakes are made from Wisconsin-based products. The brand’s passion for high-quality ingredients has made Cousins Subs a sought-out franchise and a destination for lunch, dinner and catering.

Building on its momentum and success in Wisconsin and Illinois, Cousins Subs is planning for expansion in Michigan. The brand is seeking to open one restaurant in each of the following cities – Grand Rapids, Livonia, Detroit, Northville, Southfield, Troy, Sterling Heights, Warren, Ann Arbor, Allen Park, Canton, Westland, Novi, Birmingham, Lathrup Village, Clawson, Rochester and Fraser – which would create an average of 15-20 jobs per restaurant.
