Both kids and adults seem to really enjoy the experience. He talks to guests, plays games with them and even joins in on patio activities. We show Grinch movies outside, hand out candy canes and occasionally give out onions as part of the fun. The Parkers focus on cross-training employees to ensure flexibility and efficiency. Seasonal staff, including college students returning for the holidays, are brought on to prevent burnout among the regular team members."We take pride in offering our employees flexibility with their schedules, allowing them to ask for time off whenever they need it,” said Jason. “There might have been one rare occasion where we had to ask someone to come in on a requested day off, but we make it a priority to respect their time. Happy staff members lead to happy customers, so we work hard to accommodate their needs and ensure they feel valued. It’s essential to take care of the people who make your business successful."Scheduling is handled thoughtfully, with an emphasis on accommodating staff availability to maintain morale. "For example, Black Friday isn’t typically a big day for restaurants, so we adjust our operations rather than treating it like a standard Friday night. It’s also important to understand your area and know if your restaurant is a destination spot for families. During the holidays, people often want to bring out-of-town visitors to their favorite local spots to share something unique they might not have back home.
