On October 25, Penn Station East Coast Subs opened a new location on Detroit Road in Avon, Ohio. The new Penn Station is one of over a dozen in Ohio, but the first in Avon.

To celebrate the opening, Penn Station held a drawing open to the first 100 customers at the Avon location for a chance to win free subs for a year. All 99 runner-ups were given a free meal, including a sandwich, fries, and a drink.
