Due to increasing customer demand for Dunkin’s early March limited-time offering of Irish creme coffee drinks, the brand announced the promotion has returned for one day only after a five-year hiatus.

“Dunkin’s Irish creme is one of the most wished-for coffee flavors by Dunkin’ fans,” a Dunkin’ news article explaining the history of the offering read. “It first appeared on our menu five years ago, and fans have been dreaming of it ever since. The wait is over – Irish Creme is back by popular demand!”

On Wednesday, March 6, seven Dunkin' restaurants across the U.S. will jumpstart St. Patrick’s Day festivities by taking on the name "O'Dunkin'.” Each of these seven restaurants will feature festive interior décor and an updated exterior design to reflect the promotion. At each O'Dunkin', the brand explained, the first 250 customers will be offered a free shot or iced Irish creme coffee or latte.

To add an additional engagement element to the one-day promotion, fans of the coffee franchise will have to follow @Dunkin on Instagram for clues on where the seven O’Dunkin’ restaurants are located.

"March can be a long, cold month, but St. Patrick's Day and the end of Mardi Gras bring opportunities for pure joy,” Dunkin' U.S. CMO Tony Weisman said in the release. “Dunkin' is the brand fueling that feeling of fun and optimism when people need it most, and what better way to give our guests an extra boost than by bringing back a beloved flavor of the season."
