The urgent care had sponsored events for the district in the past, such as 5k races, and will now be even more actively involved in community-based events during a five-year partnership starting March 31.&nbsp;“When I think of the local park district, I think it's very community-oriented,” said Co-Founder&nbsp; <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/amy-vertin-555a8a12b/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=emediate-cure-partners-with-joliet-park-district-to-deepen-community-involvement-2721558" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Amy Vertin</a>. “That’s where people work out, where kids play basketball, where you take your child for swimming lessons. There’s something for everyone there. So, with Emediate Cure being a family-owned, community-based business, the partnership makes a lot of sense to us. It's very special to the area it serves.”Being a part of the communities it serves is a large part of Emediate Cure’s identity. Since 2015, the business has offered a more personal alternative to corporate-owned practices with its three clinics in the Joliet, Plainfield and Shorewood suburbs of Chicago. By focusing on community and family, it has become a go-to healthcare resource for patients experiencing non-life-threatening illnesses in the area.&nbsp;Each location boasts a staff of board-certified health professionals focused on providing personalized care to each patient, taking the time to educate them on their condition and treatment plan. When Amy and I first opened our Emediate Cure, it was our goal to give back to the community. And I feel like it goes both ways. The park district is for everyone, no matter where you are in your life. So we feel like it is a great fit for us.”&nbsp;Outside of the park district, Emediate Cure gives back to the community in a variety of ways. For example, it has been involved with organizations such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Shorewood HUGS, local homeless shelters and hospices, as well as organizations that help veterans get back on their feet. The company also participates in events such as concerts in the park, movies in the park, cruise nights and parades.&nbsp;Vertin noted that when they attend local events, they often have patients come up to them and tell them about the amazing care they received recently or how grateful they are to have them there when they need them most.&nbsp;“Patients say they won’t go anywhere else — and they could because it's a competitive market,” she said. “We know we’re not the only urgent care in Joliet, but people choose to come to us. And it's always so nice when people come up and show their appreciation. It’s extremely rewarding to hear that we are who they want to see when they’re sick or injured.”&nbsp; &nbsp;It is also especially encouraging for Emediate Cure staff to hear, Kubinski noted. “Since COVID, there has been a wave of burnout among healthcare professionals, so when members of the community go out of their way to tell you how you caught a disease and saved their life, or whatever might have happened, it helps with that feeling of burnout.”&nbsp;&nbsp;The effort that Emediate Cure puts into serving its community hasn’t gone without recognition.
