According to IBIS World, sports and fitness are a big part of the franchising world, accounting for $39.7 billion in the U.S. market. An abundance of categories fall within the field, from baseball, soccer, football and other field sports to boxing and martial arts. Children's sports have a solid niche within the model, as do athletic training programs.
