Panera Bread is taking its delivery capabilities to the next level. According to Fast Casual, the chain is expanding its delivery across the U.S., with the service now available in 897 cities in 43 states. Panera’s delivery service is entirely digital through the brand’s app or website, marking a new phase for the concept.
In a press release quoted by Fast Casual, Panera CEO Blaine Hurst said, “Panera delivery isn’t a pilot program. It’s not in just a few test markets. We now offer delivery across the country. Delivery is fueling our next phase of growth, and the success we have seen so far is exciting. The combination of providing clean food options via an entirely digital experience is giving us a real advantage, and the momentum is just beginning.”
By expanding its delivery offerings, Panera is aiming to employ its own delivery drivers in every market. That means its contributing to job creation. So far, this service has created more than 13,000 jobs.
