Fast Casual is reporting that emerging burger and kebab franchise Pincho Factory has named Jayson Tipp president, effective immediately. The announcement was made as the brand closed its first round of funding for 2018 and signed a multi-unit franchise deal to expand in Washington D.C., its first locations in the district.

Tipp was previously the CDO of Papa Murphy’s, a role whose purview included franchise sales, real estate and technology. Tipp comes to Pincho as the franchise meets a major growth milestone, securing funding from multiple investors in a deal that includes a commitment to open 10 new franchise locations through the D.C. market over the next five years.

“One of our goals as a company is to build a world-class team that can build the right infrastructure to support franchise partners and grow our brand,” said Pincho CEO Nedal Ahmad in a press release announcing the hiring. “Jayson represents the exact type of leader we want on board as we enter this next chapter. Jayson’s vast experience in operations, franchise development, marketing and, most importantly, leading a group of talented individuals will be critical to Pincho's growth moving forward. We are confident in his ability to deliver results from day one, and look forward to working with him and growing Pincho together.”
