Fat Tuesday’s high-quality cocktails are known for remedying troubles and eliciting good vibes among any and all who venture through the doors of its 30-plus domestic and international locations. As the brand continues its growth across the U.S. and beyond, Reno, Nevada is next in line for the party. In partnership with the Grand Sierra Resort, Fat Tuesday is preparing to bring the revelry to the city’s premier resort and casino in 2019.

The largest resort in the Reno-Tahoe area, the Grand Sierra Resort boasts an abundance of spectacular amenities: 2,000 newly renovated rooms, over 200,000 square feet of convention center space, a 2,500-seat theater that serves as a concert venue, a casino, a nightclub and a pool, plus a 50-lane bowling alley, movie theater, arcade, outdoor golf range, ice skating rink and more. Soon to be added to this extensive list is Fat Tuesday’s elevated bar-restaurant concept, artfully designed to bring resort guests the tastes and party atmosphere of New Orleans with every sip of the delicious frozen cocktail in their hand.

“We have been looking for a brand to complement our year-round pool and entertainment offerings,” said Christopher Abraham, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Grand Sierra Resort. After exploring a number of concepts, the resort’s development team determined Fat Tuesday’s offering to be the “most compelling” for its guests.

Noting that Grand Sierra is more of a resort than just a casino, Abraham said, “Many of our guests stay with us to enjoy the massive amount of amenities we offer. We just expanded and renovated our pool, which, along with the casino, will be the anchor amenity feeding the Fat Tuesday experience.”

Fat Tuesday rises above the competition not just for its extensive menu of high-quality frozen drinks and food, but also for the welcoming atmosphere in which patrons enjoy them. The brand’s unique ability to capture the fun-loving spirit of New Orleans is what makes Fat Tuesday a hit in every city, inviting guests of all kinds to adopt its festive way of life.

As restaurant buildout continues, Abraham and his team at Grand Sierra have enjoyed the support of the Fat Tuesday brand throughout the planning process and look forward to continued collaboration with the development team as they gear up for their Grand Opening. Grand Sierra has big plans for the event itself, including hosting separate events for the media and VIPs to introduce the brand to the community.

“We will also be extremely active on social and digital media to create exposure for the Fat Tuesday brand since we’re the first location in the Reno-Tahoe market,” Abraham said.

With the Grand Sierra Resort providing the perfect surrounding for guests to kick back and relax, Fat Tuesday’s new home in Reno couldn’t be a better fit. The new location is poised to enhance guest experience to deliver just the ambiance—and beverage selection—vacationers are looking for, so much so that the Grand Sierra Resort brand is already exploring an expanded partnership with the brand.

Said Abraham, “We are looking forward to integrating Fat Tuesday into the Grand Sierra Resort brand of offerings for years to come.”

The average investment range to own a Fat Tuesday is $479,000 to $1.08 million. For more information about franchising opportunities, click here.
