The quick-service Italian restaurant is set to open more stores this year than it has in almost a decade
After undergoing a successful rebranding effort, Fazoli’s is reaping the benefits in growth and profits so far this year. According to an article in QSR Magazine, the quick-service Italian restaurant brand has opened seven stores in 2018 with five more set to come before the end of the year, the highest number of openings Fazoli’s has seen in close to 10 years. This includes reentering three markets where it previously operated.
Fazoli’s has invested in remodeling its restaurants for a more modern feel after updating nine locations last year led to successful returns for the brand. Additionally, Fazoli’s posted its best grand opening weeks ever this year in its Hazard, Kentucky and Columbus, Georgia locations.
“Thanks to our brand revamp which has helped us to better understand guests’ tastes and preferences by offering fresh, high-quality food at a great value, we have been able to successfully launch a remodel initiative, in addition to capitalizing on tremendous grand openings since the beginning of the year,” Fazoli’s president and CEO Carl Howard said.
