A taco brand is scaling back significantly on its discount and coupon programs in favor of becoming a more premium brand, according to a QSR Magazine report.

Taco Cabana wants instead to focus on providing higher-quality food that will provide customers with a better brand experience, and the move has prompted more traffic, according to the article.

“We really worked to just get away from sending out those mailers like you get at Arby’s,” Taco Cabana president Chuck Locke said, according to the article. “A lot of Taco Cabana’s guests would learn to live and wait for those.”
