As part of the partnership, Carr is contributing a professional painting service to a silent auction fundraiser during the group’s 23rd birthday celebration, which includes performances of “Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer” on December 20th, 21st and 22nd.&nbsp;&nbsp;Carr, who holds a degree in musical theater, has always been drawn to the arts. "I was a choir kid in high school. I did all the musicals and loved that environment," he said. His passion for creative expression extends to his current involvement as the vocalist in a Chicago-based alternative rock band. "We’ve recorded a few things, but it’s mainly a vehicle for getting together and being human," he said. "I sing everything and do some writing. I can rip out a melody and chorus, but lyrics don’t come as naturally to me."&nbsp;&nbsp;His connection to Hell in a Handbag began through a mutual friend. "I’ve been a fan and attended their shows," Carr said, referencing productions like “Golden Girls: The Lost Episodes” and a campy take on “The Poseidon Adventure.” These unique performances cemented his admiration for the group.&nbsp;&nbsp;For the fundraiser, Carr is offering a practical but personal contribution. "It’s a silent auction item. I’m offering to paint someone’s bedroom walls in whatever color they want," he said.
