What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?Jesica Carlile:&nbsp;I work in insurance full-time and I’m also a real estate agent. My husband and I had thought about franchises for a few years and were told a home-based option would be a good way to start out. This area is extremely expensive for real estate, so it just made sense.1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you are in it?Carlile:&nbsp;I knew I would have a lot more help and resources than I would if I were doing it on my own, but I had no idea what those resources actually were. What excites you most about this company?Carlile:&nbsp;We landed on painting because it just matches so well with what I already do. Things like closing days for real estate sales, vacant homes and even insurance claims could all potentially require some type of painting service. What are your plans for growth?&nbsp;Carlile:&nbsp;We want to grow. This will be a family-owned business, and I’m hoping to grow it to the point where we can involve the kids. Whether they’re playing a part in estimating or recruiting painters, I want to include them. It would also be nice to buy more territories and expand as our team grows.1851:&nbsp;What is the one thing about your story you want us to know?Carlile:&nbsp;My dad owns a heavy equipment repair business. He started that in 2009 and is now getting ready to retire, but over the years, I gained some experience helping him with the little aspects of the business.Aside from that, there’s no other entrepreneurship in the family.
