Griswold was recently featured on a Fox 9 Good Day news segment highlighting the meaningful connections created through its intergenerational pen pal program with third-grade students from Park Lake Elementary in Anoka, Minnesota. Students recently met their senior pen pals in person after spending the school year exchanging letters.

The segment emphasized the positive impact the program has on participating seniors, many of whom spoke about the joy, purpose, and renewed energy they experience through the relationships. One senior described the experience as "great" and said it "brings a little life and energy" to those receiving the letters, while another shared that meeting the students was "a lot of fun."

Griswold Caregivers also explained that the program helps combat social isolation by giving seniors something to look forward to, noting that receiving a letter from a child asking simple questions about their lives "just brings back the joys in life from prior years."

Fox 9 also highlighted the enthusiasm of the students, who described the experience as an opportunity to make new friends and learn about people they otherwise never would have met. The program, which Griswold Home Care for the Greater Twin Cities has operated for three years, continues to grow in popularity each year.
