Founded in 1982, Griswold is recognized as the first non-medical home care franchise in the United States. Griswold offers non-medical care for seniors, including personal care, housekeeping, companionship and post-surgery support. Services can be tailored to meet individual needs, allowing seniors to stay in their homes or a care facility of their choice.
Hall, originally from Toledo, decided to open the Dayton location because of the area's growing senior population and affordability for retirement. He left his corporate job to pursue a more fulfilling career in senior care.
"We need more places like non-medical home care to be able to ensure that these seniors have the ability to choose the type of care that they want and have the options that they desire when they need that care," Hall said.
The Dayton Griswold currently employs five caregivers, with plans to expand its staff soon. Hall and his mother are also considering expanding Griswold's reach into other Ohio cities, such as Toledo and Bowling Green.
