What do you want us to know?Jason Edwards: I’ve always been in health care — even before I graduated from high school. I started out as a paramedic, and I’ve been a nurse for the past 15 years.1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you’re in it?Edwards: I actually know one of the other Griswold owners, Bruce McReynolds, and he introduced me to the business. Working in the emergency department all the way through COVID, I started looking for other options. Griswold had so many resources already laid out. They’d be able to provide me with all the support to get up and running and make a profit sooner by having people show me the way, rather than having to figure it all out on my own. That other owner I spoke to really recommended going the franchise route instead of starting something on your own.1851: What made you pick this brand? What are your plans for growth?Edwards: My plan is to really get out in the community — I’ve been here a long time. I’m excited to network with senior centers, senior advisory councils and other agencies. I’ve seen firsthand the things we can do better. I’ve taken care of them before they got to the hospital and after.
