Recently, Hand & Stone received wide-spread acclaim after being named No. 8 on Forbes' "Best Franchises to Buy List" in the high investment category. According to an article in Forbes, the brand was one of two massage franchises on the list and was featured amid well-known fast-casual and QSR brands such as Culver's and Panera.
According to the article, the franchise industry research firm FRANdata narrowed a list of 3,300 active brands down to a roster of 60 franchises—the 30 best and worst—based on activity, performance and scale.
By using analytical tools, FRANdata was able to measure each franchise’s true performance of success and rate based on the investment level. According to Forbes, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa has seen an enviable 25.41% 5-Year Growth Rate, second only to Culver’s.
Bob McQuillan, Vice President of Franchise Development for Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, was ecstatic to hear that the brand landed the No. 8 spot on Forbes’ “Best Franchises to Buy” list.
“We are the only spa and facial concept to make the list. That is such an honor,” said McQuillan. “We have worked very hard to get to the place we are at today and being ranked by Forbes’ as one of the best franchises to buy in 2019 speaks volumes for our business.”
The ability to tap into demand across a wide customer base positions Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa for continued expansion, especially as one of the leaders in the massage and facial industry. Additionally, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa have shown significant growth in 2019 by signing on nine franchisees across the U.S.
David Goldman, a first-time franchisee bringing the luxury spa services to Boston, couldn’t be more excited by the services offered. “I feel good about helping people feel better about themselves,” Goldman said. “I want the clients to feel happy and relaxed, and I want our employees to feel a sense of pride and fulfillment in delivering superior services to our clients. I want to provide services that benefit the health and wellness of the communities that we serve.”
Hand & Stone’s convenient membership package not only lends itself to profitability and growth, but the spa’s services also feature a variety of new and innovative luxury experiences that have undoubtedly helped catapult the brand to success.
With no intention of slowing down, Hand & Stone’s services are being spread across the country. The brand is actively looking to grow in key markets like New Orleans, San Antonio, Pittsburgh, Boston, Kansas City and more.
