Launched in 2009, Buzz Franchise Brands has quickly become an industry leader in the home services category. Starting with the launch of recently acquired pest prevention company, Mosquito Joe, in 2012, the parent company got in at the ground-level of what was soon to be an increasingly competitive segment.

Starting with the launch of Mosquito Joe in 2012, the parent company got in at the ground-level of what was soon to be an increasingly competitive segment.

The mobility of the concept allowed new franchisees to get up-and-running quickly which ultimately led to rapid expansion. Since launch, the brand has grown to more than 160 locations across 34 states and continues to spark new growth in key markets across the U.S., making it one of the top growing franchises in the nation according to Franchise Gator and Inc.

The brand then used the successful recurring model it built for Mosquito Joe to launch Pool Scouts in 2016, a pool maintenance and repair company that has already grown to 15 locations. Not only was Pool Scouts able to capitalize on the operational side of the business but it was also able to utilize a similar approach to its branding with kitschy marketing material and bold color schemes.

“Buzz Franchise Brands stands out from other concepts because it’s memorable,” said Pool Scouts Marketing Manager Gwen Marsh. “From the exceptional quality of service that we offer down to eye-catching yard signs, customers instantly recognize that Pool Scouts is a Buzz brand. That’s a part of what makes our company unique, there’s consistency across the brand and all of its concept.”

But with the launch of Home Clean Heroes, Buzz Franchise Brands was opening the door to a new challenge, the inside of its customers’ homes. The executive team realized that there was an opportunity to make an impact in a segment where the quality and consistency of service was lacking, an area where Buzz has always shined.

“There hasn’t been a new competitor in the space for a long time which is where we see opportunity,” said Director of Marketing for Home Clean Heroes Kathy Turley. “We’re leveraging our big parent company to drive growth in a new way, and that type of success isn’t just exciting for us but for the franchise industry as a whole. It’s a great example of the model at work.”

Home Clean Heroes opened its first location in South Hampton Roads in May of 2017 and has since serviced more than 400 customers, the majority of which found out about the brand through word of mouth, using Buzz Franchise Brands other concepts, or through catchy direct mailers the marketing team designed.

Now, the brand is looking at replicating this success in new markets through how else? Franchising the Buzz Franchise Brands way. Through the demonstrated success of its sister concepts, Home Clean Heroes has an opportunity to shake up the residential cleaning industry by exceeding customer expectations and providing an unparalleled level of professionalism.
