Schaust notes that Carolina Wrens, for example, take around 12 to 14 days for their eggs to hatch, and after another 12 to 15 days, the youngsters are strong enough to leave the nest. As the fledglings triumphantly leave the nest, the promise of healthy backyard birds may continue for generations to come.
