inPAINT Magazine: Exterior Painting Tips From the Experts

As summer nears and homeowners start thinking about their next home improvement projects, exterior painting jobs shouldn’t be overlooked. Derek Wolfe, a franchisee with 360° Painting, one of the nation’s fastest-growing residential and commercial painting franchises, recently shared his process with inPAINT Magazine readers in their June issue.

Wolfe recommends starting the painting process with Sherwin-Williams Multi-Purpose Interior/Exterior Latex Primer/Sealer prior to putting the top coat on. Wolfe then uses 360°’s Resilience Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint, primarily due to Oregon’s moisture.

“It dry-skims within an hour or two, and that helps if we’re caught off guard by rain,” Wolfe told inPAINT Magazine.

During dryer months like July and August, he uses Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint or 360°’s SuperPaint Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint.
