Founded in 2005, Joshua Tree Experts began as a home-based business in Pennsylvania that offered plant health care and general tree care. 17 years later, the brand has expanded to offer both pest control and lawn care services like fertilizer and weed control, has established five territories in the state and is producing impressive numbers.

“We’ve had 20% year-over-year growth this year, and we rolled over $4.4 million worth of recurring revenue into 2022,” explained Joshua Malik, CEO of Joshua Tree Experts. “We currently have five territories operating in Pennsylvania, but we’re excited to expand within the market we know best.”

New Pennsylvania franchisees will not only benefit from the brand’s established reputation in the state but will also have close proximity to the corporate team to receive any necessary support.

As a family-run business, Joshua Tree Experts is committed to maintaining a connection with its communities and upholding a supportive, close-knit workplace culture, which only makes it stand out even further among current and potential clientele.

After nearly two decades of perfecting its craft, the brand is working to grow even more by partnering with passionate franchise owners. New franchisees will start the same way the company did: with just one set of service offerings.

“Franchisees will start with one service – tree care – then start to roll in lawn care and pest control,” said Malik.

This will allow owners to ease into the investment of things like vehicles, machinery and fertilizers. Before expanding services, the corporate team will work with franchisees to ensure they feel confident in baseline operations.

“The plan is to really hammer tree care and then slowly add the others,” he said. “We will tier the services for franchisees, and when they surpass a set of performance and efficiency-related KPIs we have developed, we will add in lawn care and pest control.”
