Educational child care franchise concept expands to provide trusted, quality care in Virginia Beach

For Neil and Jane Yaeger, education and entrepreneurship have always been a lifelong passion. Before investing in Lightbridge Academy, Neil had a lengthy career in the corporate world while Jane was a teacher for more than 15 years. When Jane fell ill, the experience jolted the couple to reevaluate their life path and happiness. With Jane's love and passion for teaching coupled with Neil’s business background, Lightbridge Academy felt like the right model to pursue this dream.

“Family is very important to us, and Lightbridge holds family values very close across every aspect of operations throughout all of its child care centers as well within its franchise system,” said Jane. “The Circle of Care philosophy fully supports not only the child, but the parents, staff and the surrounding community.”

This May, the Yaegers celebrated the opening of their Lightbridge Academy center in Virginia Beach where they’ve lived for several years. The opening marks the first location in the state for the educational child care brand, as it rounds out the first half of 2018 with more than 100 child care centers open or in development across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida.

“Neil and Jane are passionate about the local community and providing top notch care to its residents. We’re extremely excited to celebrate this flagship opening and expand outward throughout Virginia, bridging the need for tailored educational child care that’s trusted, reliable and flexible for working parents,” said Lightbridge Academy Founder and CEO Guy Falzarano.

In the months leading up to their Lightbridge opening, the couple have involved themselves further into the community through partnerships with local businesses. Focusing on being an asset to the working parents in the area is integral to Lightbridge Academy, as it is committed to be a partner and a resource, rather than just a business.

“One of the great things about this town is that it is very close-knit. When residents learn more about our Circle of Care, values, state-of-the-art security systems, educational curriculum and amazing staff, they will see there’s just so much support, and an overall positive atmosphere here. We’re so excited to be the first location in Virginia and to be a part of the company’s evolution,” said Jane.

Lightbridge Academy recently achieved a milestone - exceeding signing its 100th franchise, the company is focused on expanding its presence across Virginia with passionate franchisees like Neil and Jane.

“This first location in Virginia is an important step in our expansion across the Mid-Atlantic,” said Mark Mele, Lightbridge Academy’s Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “This is just the beginning we plan to continue expanding across the state. We have another location that will soon begin construction in Aldie, Virginia, and we are also looking for qualified franchise prospects who want to make a difference in their communities in Fairfax County, Loudon County, Prince William County, Chesterfield County, Henrico County and in Norfolk and Chesapeake.”
