&ldquo;I definitely have a heart for the youth,&rdquo; said Lopez. &ldquo;I really believe that our future lies with the youth. Whether it&rsquo;s an at-risk kid or any other, I want to invest in them and help guide them with some amount of inspiration or counsel.&rdquo;

Streamlining the outreach process for franchise owners

LIME Light Outreach&rsquo;s nonprofit business model makes it easy for franchise owners to fundraise for local youth causes they are most passionate about.&nbsp;

LIME Painting&rsquo;s loyalty program benefits repeat clients by giving them access to additional warranty coverage, free professional color consultation, rewards points, bi-annual audits and more.&nbsp;

The icing on the cake? 50% of each membership fee automatically goes toward the franchisee&rsquo;s LIME Light Outreach fund&mdash;with the option for clients to donate even more on top of that. In other words, fundraising is tied to the business that owners are already focused on.

Franchise owners are empowered to design a campaign tailored to LIME Light Outreach&rsquo;s four pillars while partnering with an established local nonprofit to help execute the initiative. LIME Light Outreach&rsquo;s nonprofit board votes to approve campaigns before releasing the funds, providing a level of informed oversight that is crucial to success.

&ldquo;LIME owners are able to network with nonprofits to find an organization that aligns with the initiatives, then share their vision for what they want to fund,&rdquo; said Lopez. &ldquo;This streamlines and simplifies the process while minimizing risk. Reaching local youth in meaningful ways

One nonprofit that LIME Light Outreach has worked with is <a href="https://coloradouplift.org/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=lime-light-outreach-provides-a-turnkey-nonprofit-solution-for-lime-painting-owners-to-give-back-2710597" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Colorado Uplift</a>, on which Lopez sits on the Board of Directors. The mentoring and outreach organization for at-risk youth is also one of the largest nonprofits in Denver, where LIME Painting is based.

Since 2015, the LIME Painting owner in Castle Rock, Colorado has pioneered an on-brand Random Acts of Kindness program. Donned in a lime green Santa costume, the franchise owner puts inspirational notes into small wooden houses and, along with painting kits, wraps them in lime green paper with red ribbons.

&ldquo;On Black Friday, we go out into a community where people are shopping. We give kids two boxes, encouraging them to paint one and keep it, then paint the other and give it away,&rdquo; said Lopez. &ldquo;The point is to teach kids about the joy of giving while experiencing a random act of kindness that they can pass forward.&rdquo;

The LIME team also encourages recipients to post about the experience on Facebook. &ldquo;We had one family who posted about running into us in a parking lot,&rdquo; explained Lopez. &ldquo;The two boys, who were with their father, were so excited to open their boxes. When the mom got to the car with the daughter, she was in tears.&rdquo; 
The Castle Rock franchise owner had been a youth pastor, so he told the family, &ldquo;God bless you,&rdquo; a sentiment that struck a chord. &ldquo;We found out that the little girl had cancer, and they had been praying that day for God to show them a sign that He was with them,&rdquo; recalled Lopez. &ldquo;Our encounter was that inspiration they needed. We didn&rsquo;t expect that.&rdquo;

While LIME Light Outreach continues to grow thanks to the efforts of franchise owners around the nation, it&rsquo;s the youth in need who will benefit the most.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I&rsquo;m excited to see the franchise owners take the mission of the nonprofit and own it locally,&rdquo; said Lopez. &ldquo;There are so many directions that they can take, and they can make such a meaningful impact on people&rsquo;s lives.
