With a presence in 27 countries and territories around the world, Little Caesars® Pizza is an iconic brand in the global pizza industry. The brand is expanding its development team to spearhead franchise expansion in markets across the globe. Recently, the pizza brand hired Alan Wayne as its new Director of International Development.
Wayne joins the Little Caesars team with over 20 years of experience in franchising, development, operations and marketing. He most recently worked for Inspire Brands on the Dunkin’ business, one of the largest franchise systems in the world, as their Director of Franchising Development. He has also held several other development roles, where he focused on many different markets nationally. Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland at College Park.
In his new role with Little Caesars Pizza, Wayne will focus on business development in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
“I was really excited about the opportunity that Little Caesars Pizza presents. It’s a family-owned company—which I love—and it’s growing rapidly with a lot of runway to continue expanding,” said Wayne. “My goal is to continue to grow the company and help franchisees strengthen their businesses. There’s plenty of interest in the pizza category globally, and Little Caesars Pizza provides a great opportunity for franchisees who are looking to diversify their portfolios.”
Little Caesars Pizza is looking to grow in several new and existing markets in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Those include Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines, among others.
With a value-driven business model and family-oriented approach, Little Caesars is catching the eye of experienced entrepreneurs who are interested in joining the booming global pizza industry with the backing of a world-renowned brand.
That is why Little Caesars Pizza has grown its international presence significantly over the past few years, with restaurants in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Canada, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific. This year alone Little Caesars has plans to open its first restaurants in several new markets including Ecuador, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
The brand has ambitious plans to continue expanding around the world and is actively seeking qualified franchisees. Ideal candidates are well-capitalized, with $1.5 million in liquid assets, have an in-depth understanding of their local market and possess the drive to build 50-plus stores in a five-year span.
“Building our development team with experts like Alan equips us with further expertise and support to help take the brand to the next level,” said Jeremy Vitaro, Little Caesars Chief Development Officer. “In 2021, we continued to develop a strong track record in markets around the world. Now, in 2022, I look forward to even more opportunities for growth.”
