From Car Dealership Manager to Maid Right and 360º Painting Franchisee: How Working His Way Up Helped Justin Rowling Achieve the Entrepreneurial Dream

A firm believer in working your way up from the bottom to the top, Justin Rowling is now the owner of the Maid Right in Central Virginia.

Never seeing himself owning a painting company and cleaning service brands - Charlottesville, Virginia local Justin Rowling is now doing just that as franchise owner of Premium Service Brand’s Maid Right and 360º Painting

Rowling is owner of the Central Virginia territory of Maid Right, a reliable and consistent housekeeping service servicing the Central Virginia area and owner of 360º Painting, a painting company servicing Charlottesville.

Born in Houston, Rowling moved to Virginia when he was eight and lived in Harrisburg for 15 years until recently moving to Charlottesville. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Professional Communications. Rowling has been in the car business for 15 years and worked as a service director for the dealerships. He ran and oversaw five different car dealerships.

He was working six days a week and putting in a lot of hours in the car business. His day-to-day responsibilities included being responsible for revenue, gross, leadership and management training. Rowling felt it was time to “do his own thing” and looked for the right business to fit that need.

Rowling found Premium Service Brands through a consulting company after finding the consulting company searching for franchise opportunities online. He secured four territories of Premium Service Brand’s, 360 Painting and launched in September of 2018. The painting company stood out because of its recruiting, hiring and management processes Rowling was familiar with from his work in the dealership business. Although it was something he would not have done on his own, the business model made sense. After he learned more about Premium Service Brands and met with their CEO Paul Flick, Rowling secured his Maid Right territory and launched the brand in December of 2018.“Paul has been nothing short of fantastic to me, the training team and the whole team. I’ve received endless support from day one,” said Rowling.

Rowling said his previous career roles have prepared him to be a franchisee because he worked from “bottom to top.” In the car business, he started off detailing cars and worked his way up to be a service director. Rowling hopes that his services will have a positive impact on the local community. He wants to treat every employee how he would want to be treated and have a culture that is fun but hardworking. As a boss, he hopes that every employee will feel comfortable coming to him about anything.

Maid Right partners with Kids-Lift, a program that gives back to vulnerable kids, their families and schools and advocates for the best ways to address the issues of poverty and hunger. When it comes to giving back to the community, Rowling said, “We do work with Kids-Lift as much as we can and help out at local elementary schools. We have done “real men wear pink” in supporting cancer. Maid Right partners with the non-profit “Cleaning For a Reason” and we clean houses for women that are undergoing cancer treatments. They are not physically able to clean, so we clean for free and do it whenever they contact us.” He hopes to build an environment that when people hear “Maid Right,” they think “honest, dependable and tied to the community for good reasons. “Justin is the perfect fit to the Premium Service Brand family and we are excited to offer our services to the Charlottesville community,” said Flick. The Maid Right of Central Virginia plans to scale this summer from five cleaning teams to 15 to 20 cleaning teams consisting of two people. When Rowling is not working, working out, crossfit, hiking, trail running, biking and spending time with family and friends are the things he enjoys doing.

The investment for a Maid Right franchise ranges from $90,000 to $140,000, with a franchise fee of $62,500. For more info, visit: https://www.premiumservicebrands.com/maid-right/
