McDonald's Mentorship Program Pairs Select Employees With Influencers

By connecting employees with mentors in their dream fields, McDonald’s hopes to provide opportunities for them to reach their career goals–both inside and outside the company.

McDonald's has announced a new benefit known as the Where You Want to Be campaign. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, this will allow select employees to pair up with mentors in industries ranging from entertainment to entrepreneurship. The brand has expressed that this program is designed to help current employees reach their career goals.

Participants will shadow their mentor for a day, in order to help them gain real-world experience. A few mentors that have been disclosed include technology expert Tyler Oakley, Dermatologist Dr. Meena Singh and actor Bryshere Gray.

“By connecting restaurant employees’ aspirations with the necessary education tools and career advising services to achieve them, we continue to reinforce our role as America’s Best First Job,” said Melissa Kersey, chief people officer.
