Over the past 35 years,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.usainsulationfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=meet-patrick-pitrone-president-of-usa-insulation-2718866" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">USA Insulation</a>, the 80-plus-unit insulation franchise under the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thresholdbrands.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=meet-patrick-pitrone-president-of-usa-insulation-2718866" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Threshold Brands</a> umbrella, has claimed an increasingly outsized share of the booming insulation market. With a goal of expanding to&nbsp;over&nbsp;150 units in the next five years, the brand is leveraging its community-oriented business model to reach more customers and franchise owners in markets across the country. Leading that effort is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/ppitrone/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=meet-patrick-pitrone-president-of-usa-insulation-2718866" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Patrick Pitrone</a>, USA Insulation’s president.Pitrone has worked with USA Insulation since&nbsp;2004. Beyond his extensive experience, Pitrone brings enthusiasm and a passion for customer relationships and community service to the brand’s operations.“There are so many things I love about this business,” Pitrone said. “Through this brand, we have the ability to impact the entire value chain. We can help franchisees reach their goals, and through them, we have the chance to impact homeowners’ lives significantly.”After graduating from Ohio University in 1999, Pitrone worked with a&nbsp;large contract food service company called Aramark before returning to his hometown of Cleveland. There, he worked for his family’s business — USA Insulation. At the time it was only a single store, but after a year, he considered expanding the company through franchising.&nbsp;In 2008, USA Insulation sold its first franchise.“The operations are so well refined — this company was designed to scale,” Pitrone said. “It didn’t take much research to see just how great the demand for a service like ours was in markets across the country.”From then on, the brand’s expansion never slowed, though the company intentionally only awarded three to five new franchise locations per year. This calculated strategy, Pitrone said, was designed to ensure that the company operated as a family business, even as it scaled.&nbsp;“When we insulate a house, and that same day a customer says how much quieter their home is, or that week they say how little their furnace went on, or that month how low their bill was — that impact was so big that we couldn’t just keep it bottled up in Cleveland,” he said.As its franchise territories proliferated across the nation, USA Insulation joined&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/thresholdbrands">Threshold Brands, the fast-growing multi-brand home services franchisor</a>, in March 2021. Pitrone was thrilled with the acquisition.“Threshold offers us the ability to leverage the knowledge, best practices and resources of all of their brands, which are succeeding in different segments of the same industry we are in, and it has given our franchise owners incredible new growth opportunities,” he said.Operating under an umbrella franchisor allowed Pitrone the opportunity to work closely with other brand presidents, develop systems and technology across multiple brands, and learn more about the franchise world each day. And despite its consistent growth, Pitrone says USA Insulation maintains the values of a small family business.“We are still a niche-enough business for franchisees to really be heard and individually impacted,” he said. “We are nimble and we are still growing, so franchisees really have an opportunity to make a mark, not just on their own business but on our entire franchise community. We are a bit more authentic and unique than competitors.”Though it’s ingrained in Pitrone to devote himself to his work, he also loves to travel and spend time with his wife and two boys. He hopes to create a legacy with USA Insulation and foster its continued growth for years to come.The startup costs to open a USA Insulation franchise range from $271,000 to $399,500, including a $55,000 franchise fee.
