That same day I began looking into franchising with JDog Brands.”Just four hours after learning of JDog, Vicens began the due diligence process, learning more on the website and reaching out to the corporate team via phone. Because he had owned businesses in the past, Vicens says he has the necessary experience. However, the support of a franchisor just makes the process run a bit more smoothly.“I had owned businesses in the past, so I have ownership experience, but it’s completely different when you franchise. You get more support and a great framework to start with,” he said.Now, Vicens is one of the primary full-service junk removal businesses in his area, and he can give back to other Veterans due to his proximity to the Navy submarine base.“A lot of my customers will say that they hired my team and me because I’m a Veteran,” he explained. “I never considered that a Veteran-owned concept existed, but it loved the brand and its standards.
