In a recent <a href="https://www.nevadaappeal.com/news/2021/may/06/sandwich-chain-togos-open-sparks-plans-larger-n/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=northern-nevada-business-journal-togos-brings-west-coast-original-subs-to-sparks-nevada-2716810" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">interview</a> with Northern Nevada Business Weekly, the Bay Area native said he became acquainted with <a href="https://1851franchise.com/togos">Togo’s</a> while attending college in San Jose, where the brand was founded. At the time, Erickson was never far away from his favorite sandwich shop.“My wife and I relocated here, and we agreed that we’re missing those Togo’s flavors and quality,” Erickson said, whose youngest son attending the University of Nevada and still lives in Reno. “And during the whole time, my son and all of his friends from California that were at UNR complained about the lack of sandwich options.”Erikson said he’s committed to opening at least three more locations in Reno and says his family is already placing orders.“My youngest was telling me the other day, ‘I can’t wait to get the pastrami sandwich,’” Erickson said. “And my oldest said he can’t wait to get the ‘Pretzelrami.’”Togo’s was founded in 1971 by a young college student who wanted to make sandwiches the way he liked — big, fresh and meaty.
