NRN: Hardee’s Unveils New Restaurant Design

The first redesigned unit reopened this month

Hardee’s has opened the doors to its first restaurant featuring the franchise’s brand new design.

According to an article on Nation’s Restaurant News, Hardee’s began advertising the redesign in April. The first redesigned unit, a franchisee-owned location in Bellevue Tennessee, re-oped on June 1.

The redesign is a key element of the franchise’s new effort to distinguish the brand from its sister franchise, Carl’s Jr.

“Carl's Jr. is very much that impossible to ignore, edgy, bold, aggressive, disruptive brand,” said Jason Marker, CEO of CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., the holding company that owns both brands. “Hardee's, on the other hand, is. . . authentic and earnest. We call it down-home food done right.”

The franchise will continue to roll out the new design at many of its 2,248 worldwide locations in 2018 and 2019.
