After a difficult year that saw same-store sales suffer system-wide, Papa John’s announced it has revamped its rewards program to re-incentivize customers and generate sales momentum. The loyalty program improvement is the brand’s latest effort to reposition itself amid its drawn-out public feud with ousted founder John Schnatter.

CNBC noted members of the restructured Papa Rewards program will earn points much faster than before, as the key change gives members one point for every dollar spent instead of one point for every $5 spent.

According to Restaurant Business, other new aspects of the program include:

  • Points accrued for every order

  • $10 in ‘Papa Dough’ applicable toward a future order with every 75 points earned

  • Free cheese sticks with any $12 purchase through Jan. 27

  • The chance to win a gold pepperoncini worth $10,000 by making a $5 purchase between Dec. 17 and Jan. 6
