Penn Station East Coast Subs has announced its Athlete of the Year program winners, awarding nearly $10,000 in total scholarship prizes, <a href="https://www.qsrmagazine.com/news/penn-station-east-coast-subs-release-athlete-year-winners?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qsr-penn-station-east-coast-subs-release-athlete-of-the-year-winners-2710266" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">according to QSR Magazine</a>.

Franchisees in six participating markets choose quarterly or monthly winners based on submissions. Those students receive a catered party, t-shirt, gift certificates and a custom trophy and plaque. One scholarship winner is then chosen at the end of the year.

&ldquo;Our Athlete of the Year program allows franchisees to give back to deserving students in their area,&rdquo; said Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station. &ldquo;As college becomes more and more expensive, these scholarships are a great way to reward students who excel both in the classroom and in athletics.&rdquo;
