Brian Nelson, owner of Pet Wants in Sparks/Renowas recently featured on Fox 11, alongside his yellow lab AJ, to share how his business is helping local pet owners prioritize nutrition for their dogs.

“Before AJ, I had a black lab named Cabo who was dealing with some health issues,” Nelson said. “We started looking for something more nutritious for him, and my wife discovered Pet Wants. They sent us some kibble, and we immediately saw the results. That’s when we decided to shift gears from the corporate world and jump in.”

On air, Nelson showcases the variety of products Pet Wants offers, including 10 types of kibble cooked low and slow to preserve nutrients, as well as more than 25 toppers designed to keep mealtime exciting for pets. He also highlights unique treats like bacon and prime rib-flavored freeze-dried dog ice cream, and lick mats that can both enrich pets’ routines and help with healthy eating habits.

When asked about his message to pet owners, Nelson emphasizes that nutrition is critical, especially in today’s economy when veterinary care can be costly. By choosing high-quality food, he said, owners can maximize their pets’ health and longevity.
