Pet Wants Celebrates Strong Midyear Momentum with Over 10% SSS Growth and 10 New Franchise Owners Added

The national provider of pet food has hit the 50 retail store mark, with franchisees moving from mobile units into brick-and-mortar locations.

CINCINNATI  Pet Wants, the premier provider of specially crafted private-label pet food delivered straight to customers’ doors, has announced impressive midyear momentum, with over 10% growth in systemwide sales and significant franchise milestones. 

Over the first half of the year, Pet Wants experienced a 10% increase in systemwide sales and reached 50 retail stores, a significant achievement reflecting the brand’s proven model, which positions franchisees to expand from mobile operations to brick-and-mortar locations after one year. The first half of 2024 also saw the addition of 10 new franchise owners, with expectations for even stronger growth in the second half of the year.

“We are growing faster than ever before, and we expect that acceleration to continue throughout the rest of the year,” said DeNita Carani, president of Pet Wants. “Reaching the 50 retail store milestone brings credibility, increased revenue and cements our franchise owners with strong ties to their communities. Over the past decade, the amount of money Americans spend on pets has more than doubled, and pet food and treats make up the biggest portion of the national pet food market at $50 billion annually. For franchise owners, Pet Wants has also initiated phase one of a new marketing automation platform, which facilitates automated sales growth by automating the process of gathering data for owners. “We are using technology to help franchise owners grow sales in an automated fashion,” said Carani. “The results from our new marketing automation platform have been tremendous, with franchise owners seeing a very high conversion rate.”

Looking ahead, Pet Wants remains focused on the future, which is why Carani says the time has never been better for entrepreneurs to leverage the support of Pet Wants’ proven brand and scalable business model to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams.
