Pet Wants Taps DeNita Carani as President

Pet Wants, the pet wellness franchise with over 140 units, has tapped a new president to lead the company as it continues to grow.

DeNita Carani took up her new leadership role as president in early November. Carani joins the team with years of franchising experience, and most recently she served as Senior Director of Operations for Jovie, an in-home child care franchise.

Carani recently spoke to the Cincinnati Biz Journal, saying that she’s been on both sides of the franchising equation. “I love that franchising allows everyday people to build a lifestyle for themselves and grow wealth for their families in a structured environment,” she said.

Her hire to the position comes as Pet Wants is working to expand the brand’s footprint across the country. In 2022, the brand sold 47 new franchise locations and is looking to enter markets in places like Texas, Florida, Utah, California and the Pacific Northwest.
