In September, influential players in the property management industry from all over the nation gathered for Property Management Inc. (PMI)’s Annual Summit 2022. The 400-unit property management franchise, the largest in North America, held its conference at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, to celebrate the massive strides the company has made lately.

The event took place from September 22 to 24 and was the company’s largest Summit yet, with more than 500 attendees.

“We are so thrilled to be able to host in-person events like this and gather to celebrate the major achievements of our system. As we grow past 400 units, it’s important to remain a tight-knit organization and keep franchisees updated on the industry and best practices, so we can continue to make an impact,” says Steve HartPMI’s CEO, co-founder and president. “The Summit was a huge success for all involved.”

In addition to executives from the brand and PMI owners from across the United States, many vendors PMI works closely with were also present. The brand provides franchisees with partnerships across marketing, operations, coaching, and more to streamline operations and provides critical resources for property management. Vendors like BetterWho, InnStyle, PestShare, and ShowMojo had booths to offer information on the assets they can offer.

The weekend consisted of many informative sessions about the state of the franchise, how to create successful entrepreneurs, and aspects like marketing, inventory, and the brand’s pillars. There were also keynote speeches from Hart and franchising expert Scott Greenberg. Attendees enjoyed breakfast with their franchise business coaches, a vendor fair, and several breakout groups.

At the close of the event, an awards gala was held, where Tennessee franchise owner Scott Abernathy was presented with the title of “Franchisee of the Year.” Abernathy is a multi-unit owner who has been with PMI for more than seven years and gave a very impactful speech thanking his team, which he calls his “real heroes.”

The Summit really resonated with franchisees across the PMI system, who had great things to say about the event.

“The PMI Summit was a great event to celebrate achievements, share ideas, set goals, get energized, and meet with friends and corporate senior managers,” says Hosein Pedramfard, franchise owner at PMI Contra Costa.

“We learned quite a bit from others that we hope to implement and grow our business even more. Now to conquer 2023 with even more growth,” says PMI Louisville owner Cindy Bingham.
