Kirstin Keohane became a P.volve customer during the COVID-19 pandemic and never looked back after experiencing firsthand the difference that P.volve’s clinically backed fitness routines can make. Now, Kirstin and her husband, John, are expanding with an area development for 3 studios, opening the brand’s first San Diego, California franchise location.

The Keohanes are no strangers to the world of fitness. Kirstin grew up in Alberta, Canada playing ringette (similar to ice hockey) with two sisters who went on to play professionally. She was also part of the first Orangetheory Fitness program and was one of the first Peloton subscribers. Together, the high school sweethearts enjoy skiing, golfing and staying active.

As young professionals looking to make a splash in the entrepreneurial world, the Keohanes found their perfect opportunity in P.volve.

“When Canada shut down with COVID-19, I found P.volve and fell in love,” said Kirstin. “The impact was wild. John and I went on a lot of walks, and I used to complain about my hips. Once I started doing P.volve, my pain started to go away. Even when things finally started opening back up again, I couldn’t stop the P.volve program. I became fully addicted. John said to me, ‘The next thing you find, let’s commit,’ and once I got word that P.volve was franchising, I knew this was what I wanted to do.”

Kirstin used her previous industry knowledge and professional experience to evaluate the P.volve franchise opportunity. After meeting with the corporate team, the Keohanes were confident in the brand’s vision and in full alignment with P.volve’s mission to help people feel less pain, improve performance and transform their bodies. Spending so much time as a P.volve member personally made Kirstin a firm believer in the product, and she recommends anyone looking into franchising to do the same.

“Meet the franchise, believe in the brand and find the people you know you can lean on,” said Kirstin. “The biggest piece of advice I have is to be a champion of the product. People are coming in and spending their hard-earned money, so you have to believe very much in the product and method.”

San Diego is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country, and its population has grown 6% over the last 10 years. The area’s year-round temperate climate and focus on outdoor activities and fitness make it a prime market for the P.volve franchise.

The couple plans to open their San Diego facility in the first half of 2022, serving the San Diego and La Jolla communities. The Keohanes hope to make a splash as P.volve’s first franchise in the area and have their sights set on opening multiple locations in the future.

“As we ramp up our growth in the studio space, we are so excited to be partnering with franchisees like the Keohanes,” said Alex Puccillo, P.volve’s Director of Franchise Development. “It’s a great feeling knowing that we have such strong champions of the brand and I can’t think of better people to introduce P.volve to San Diego.”

Founded in 2017 by Rachel Katzman, P.volve was designed to take advantage of the body’s natural movements to reduce pain and build strength. The brand has since evolved to offer a hybrid model of in-person studio classes and on-demand videos. P.volve pairs its patented equipment line with functional training moves to challenge fitness norms while achieving extraordinary results.

With the world opening back up and many looking for new and improved ways to stay active, P.volve is perfectly positioned as a unique fitness solution. For potential franchisees, the brand offers multiple revenue streams through a variety of membership options, including class packs, hybrid memberships and digital memberships, as well as in-studio equipment and retail sales.

P.volve currently has company-owned studios in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and recently signed its first franchise in Nashville, Tennessee, set to open in 2022. The brand is aiming to open 250 locations by 2026 both in its current major cities and in markets nationwide.

Total investment ranges from $414,950 to $707,000. For more information on franchising with P.volve, visit https://pvolvefranchise.com.
