The Great Recession may have happened 10 years ago, but brands are still feeling its impact. A recent article in QSR Magazine highlights this lasting effect, noting that a lot of limited-service brands have been forced to reinvent themselves over the past few years in order to turn things around.

How is it possible for brands to bring themselves back from the edge? QSR Magazine lays out 10 strong tips with the help of executives from KFC, Checkers* & Rally’s and Saladworks. By getting back to their roots, embracing modernization, scheduling facelifts and establishing a clear vision, all three of these brands have been able to bounce back. But those aren’t the only steps they needed to take—turning over a new leaf starts with repairing the relationship between franchisors and franchisees.
