Jersey Mike&rsquo;s is following the antibiotic-free trend.

The sandwich company rolled out antibiotic-free turkey this spring at more than 1,200 locations across the country.

&ldquo;Consumers are looking for cleaner labels so converting one of our highest-selling products to Antibiotic Free Turkey made perfect sense,&rdquo; said Michael Manzo, chief operating officer, Jersey Mike&rsquo;s. &ldquo;Since 1954, we have been committed to offering an authentic sub sandwich with top-quality ingredients, and this introduction maintains this tradition.&rdquo;

Jersey Mike&rsquo;s follows restaurants such as McDonald&rsquo;s and Boston Market that are phasing out antibiotics in its food.
