As it kicks off its new acquisition strategy, Quizno’s and Taco Del Mar parent company REGO Restaurant Group has named restaurant industry veteran Mark Lohmann as its new chief brand officer, according to a recent release.

Lohmann, who previously served as VP of strategy and business development for Qdoba, will be charged with handling the marketing, integration and brand strategy for REGO’s portfolio brands, among other duties. Immediately prior to joining REGO, Lohmann was CFO for Cool Planet, “an entrepreneurial agriculture technology company,” according to the release.

Lohmann is the most recent executive to join the REGO team; the company, backed by High Bluff Capital Partners named Tim Casey as CEO earlier this year.

Regarding the addition of Lohmann to the executive team, Casey said, “Mark brings tremendous experience leading transformational agendas for brands across the consumer and restaurant sectors. As we continue the reinvigoration of Quiznos and Taco Del Mar and look to build out our restaurant portfolio through additional acquisitions, his background, expertise, and entrepreneurial mindset will be invaluable.”
