After spending last year setting the stage, boutique fitness franchise concept REGYMEN Fitness is preparing for a breakout year in 2019.

2018 was a big year for REGYMEN Fitness. The newly franchised fitness concept defined its model and hit the marketplace with a unique blend of high-intensity interval training, strength and weight training and boxing, creating a multi-layered experience that delivers results for its members and, in turn, presents a fantastic opportunity to prospective business owners.

“Blending three platforms and making sure they flow took several years to perfect,” REGYMEN Fitness co-founder Edward Navan said. “I’m proud to have taken that risk and for it to be paying off.”

The brand’s three-fold offering of Burn, Box and Build workouts under one roof distinguish it from other fitness franchise concepts in an industry that will only keep growing in 2019 and beyond. The boutique segment of the fitness industry, specifically, is gaining incredible momentum and making an impact on fitness trends as a whole, putting REGYMEN Fitness in prime position to make next-level moves.

REGYMEN Fitness closed the year with 10 locations open or in development across five states, including its first franchised location that opened in Austin, Texas in November. Nick Binnings, Regymen’s Director of Franchise Development, explained that 2018 was a formative year for the brand as it perfected the processes necessary for the growth the brand is planning in 2019 and beyond.

“After a strong 2018, we feel comfortable and confident that the brand is vetted and the proper systems are in place behind a strong model that works,” Binnings said. “Now is the time to grow.”

Thanks to a leadership team well-versed in the franchising industry and business development and strategic partnerships that utilize analytics, REGYMEN has been able to distinguish itself through its real estate site selection process.

“When it comes to franchising, there are three things brands have to nail: the system, the franchisees and real estate,” Binnings said. “Real estate is so important. Through a partnership with Atlanta-based Windsor Realty Group, we’ve been able to identify who our customer is and where they live in our target markets. Once we do that, we find the real estate that best suits them by paying attention to where they go and shop. For REGYMEN , our members are likely to frequent health-centric grocery stores, making them a prime driver in our site selection process.”

As part of its strategic growth plan, REGYMEN Fitness is targeting development throughout the Southeast across Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee and the Carolinas in 2019. By pursuing regional growth before enacting a national development plan, REGYMEN hopes to grow brand awareness and recognition.

“With regional development a key focus in 2019, we plan to start growing in the areas surrounding our home state of Louisiana, first and foremost,” Binnings said, “though we are open to broader development in markets outside of the region in areas like Denver or Phoenix, for example, if the right partner were to emerge.”

REGYMEN? Fitness is currently in the process of establishing several company units in the Tampa, Florida area in addition to growing through franchising. The brand is pursuing multi-unit franchisees interested in building out at least three locations in the cities of Dallas, Nashville and Memphis, Tenessee, as well, over the next year.
