Prabhu Ramkumar grew up seeing the importance of caring for his elders and knew one day he would pursue a career where he could do just that.
After teaming up with Teri Hufford to open a franchise with Right at Home , a senior home care service, he has done just that.
“I’ve always wanted to do something on my own, just looking for the right time,” Ramkumar said. “I was born in India, so I’ve seen people, like my grandparents as they became older, become dependant on others to live a good life, so that stuck in my head. I wanted to do something for senior people, and combining that with wanting to do something on my own, home care fit into that. I felt Right At Home had the right mentality for what I was looking for. They seemed to care more for their patients, so that’s what attracted me to them.”
As he began to change careers from business to home care, Ramkumar said that the Right at Home franchise best met his customer care ideals.
