In a recent podcast on Franchise Marketing Radio, a part of Business Radio, Shuckin’ Shack CEO Jonathan Weathington discussed what he has learned about franchising over the past year and how Shuckin’ Shack tackled the COVID-19 pandemic.
Weathington’s advice for those looking to get into franchising focused on developing an in-depth knowledge of your brand. Weathington said, “??I think the biggest thing is to have high brand confidence, and that sounds so silly and stupid, especially if you’re a founder of your own brand. But if you know your brand more than anyone else, which you should, continue to lean into that and continue to make sure that you depend on that when making decisions”.
Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar grew out of a vision for a local establishment that would appeal to families of all ages — a place where friends and family can enjoy fresh, delicious meals and creative cocktails in a relaxing environment. Shuckin' Shack offers its guests a "lifestyle experience" in addition to exceptional seafood. Now, after starting with a 900-square foot space, Shuckin' Shack has grown to 16 locations across five states, and soon to be six, with several more locations slated to open by the end of 2021.
