After a record-breaking year, including a 8.7% percent comp sales increase, Smoothie King, the 700-location leader in the juice and smoothie segment, has identified Washington D.C. as a top growth market for expansion. The brand plans on moving into the nation’s capital and the surrounding areas of Arlington and Alexandria, Va. with 19 new locations. The Washington, D.C. market is already home to some exceptional Smoothie King franchisees spreading the brand's message of health, nutrition and great-tasting smoothies!

“We have a strong foothold in the D.C. area, so many residents already know and love our brand, allowing Smoothie King to seamlessly expand with the addition of qualified franchisees,” said Dan Hannah, Vice President of International and Domestic Business Development for Smoothie King. “We’re currently actively seeking business professionals who are interested in joining an award-winning franchise and helping us reach 160 new locations in 2015.”

The juice and smoothie innovator plans to have 1,000 locations by the end of 2017 and the company has chosen Washington D.C. as an important step in reaching its goal.
