Wendy's is removing the soda option from kids' meal menus and removing the option from menu boards inside the restaurant, at the pickup window and the mobile app in both the United States and Canada.
With pressure from children's health advocacy groups, many fast-food chains are bolstering a healthier menu. Wendy's joins
McDonald's, who removed soda from Happy Meals in 2013.
"When ordering a kids' meal, the customer is asked what beverage they prefer," Bertini wrote. "The change is the kids' meal beverage options which are shown on our menu boards."
