Franchise law firm Spadea Lignana Franchise Attorneys has announced the launch of a new platform that will allow franchisors to manage a range of legal and compliance issues.

Client Access Portal (CAP) is a cloud-based platform that will allow Spadea Lignana’s franchisor clients to track and execute the delivery of franchise agreements, update franchise disclosure documents (FDDs), stay abreast of state-specific restrictions and more.

According to the firm’s website, the CAP system “allows franchisors to easily know where they can sell and where they can’t. The cornerstone of the program is an ‘ounce of prevention’ mentality to prevent small problems from becoming big (and expensive) problems.”

The CAP system also includes a Virtual Contract Vault that will house a franchisor’s signed franchise agreements, state registrations, legal correspondence, trademarks and other legal documents.

To support seamless execution of FDDs and franchise agreements, the CAP system offers templates for custom emails that can be scheduled in advance to ensure timely and personalized delivery of critical documents.

The video at the top of this article offers an introductory walkthrough of the CAP system’s core offerings, including state registrations, FDD expirations, open filings, a field guide to every item in the FDD and more.

The CAP system has already been rolled out in a soft launch for Spadea Lignana clients, and the firm plans to showcase the platform to a wider audience at this year’s annual IFA convention later this month.
