Squeeze, the massage franchise with six open shops 14 coming soon and over 70 in development, has shifted its focus to Florida as it pursues franchise expansion. With six shops currently in development in the state — four in Tampa and two in Sarasota, the team has identified capacity for another 40-plus locations in the Sunshine State.

“The entire market can support between 40 and 45 shops, potentially more once we see the shops in action and can understand where we might ‘fill in the blanks,’” explained Jennifer Brocker, VP of Franchise Development. “Once we’ve established strong brand awareness in the state, we might also be more comfortable moving into smaller markets to add even more locations.”

While the leadership team has identified Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale as ideal markets for expansion, its timeline for growth relies heavily on how long it will take to find a great fit in an operating partner.

“Our timeline is heavily dependent on finding the right qualified operating partners in these markets beyond what is already in development,” said Brock. “However, I feel confident that within one year, we should have one to two more shops open. Within three years, we could have five to 10 open.”

An ideal operating partner should bring both strong business experience and a passion for doing good in their community. With a drive to grow and proper alignment with the brand’s core values, local operating partners can bring a refreshing self-care experience to their own local community while serving as key players in The Feel-Good Revolution.

The Squeeze Difference

Squeeze was created by the founders of Drybar as they worked to revolutionize a lucrative market segment that was ripe for disruption. Similar to the founding story of Drybar, Squeeze’s founders realized that the $17 billion massage industry had two major limiting factors: mediocre discount offerings or overpriced spa experiences that are unattainable for many.

Squeeze is disrupting the industry by leveraging tech to drive the company forward while it places its people first, working to create an easier-to-book, more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

“By joining our growing brand as we expand nationwide, our Operating Partners are at the forefront of disrupting an outdated, but highly sought after industry,” said Brittany Driscoll, co-founder & CEO. “As an emerging brand with a seasoned leadership team, we have desired territories available as well as turnkey guidance and support for each functional area of our business. We’re most excited to support people’s desire to make a meaningful difference in their community.”

As it continues to grow, working to establish a total of 300 to 500 units in the next five to seven years, Squeeze is also focused on growth in Texas and New Jersey.
