Starbucks is making good on its commitment to become greener through a new strategic partnership with solar power developer Cypress Creek Renewables and U.S. Bank that will power 360 Texas stores by solar energy.

A recent Nation’s Restaurant News article noted that the brand has invested in eight solar panel farms in the state, a move Starbucks estimates will reduce the total carbon emissions of its stores in the Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Arlington markets by approximately 101,000 tons annually.

“Our long-standing commitment to renewable energy supports our greener retail initiative and demonstrates our aspiration to sustainable coffee, served sustainably,” Starbucks director of global environmental impact, Rebecca Zimmer, said in a statement included in the article. “Now, we are investing in new, renewable energy projects in our store communities, which we know is something our partners and customers can appreciate for their local economy and for the environment.”
